	<title>Mocha</title>

History of Mocha
Many moons ago, coffee was shipped from the port of Mocha. Although that port is now closed, its name lives on through through a high-grade type of coffee. It's also in the title of many a luscious desserts. And speaking of desserts.....

Mocha Desserts that Will Leave Them Smiling
Here are some easy Mocha desserts that will keep your guests awake and alive--and asking for seconds!

Double Chocolate Mocha Trifle

1 package brownie mix

1 3/4 cups cold milk

2 packages white chocolate instant pudding

1/ cup warm water

4 teaspoons instant coffee granules

2 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed

1 toffee bars, chopped 

1 Butterfinger bar, chopped

1. Lightly spray a 9x13 casserole dish with cooking spray

2. Prepare brownie mix following the instructions for cake-like brownies. Allow to cool completely.

3. Whisk pudding mix into milk until mixture begins to thicken.

4. Dissolve coffee granules in warm water and add to pudding mixture and mix well.

4. Fold whipped topping into the coffee/pudding mixture.

5. Cut brownies into 1" cubes and layer 1/3 of the cubes in the bottom of a trifle bowl.

6. Top with 1/3 of the pudding/coffee mixture.

7. Top that with 1/3 of the chopped toffee and chopped Butterfinger.

8. Repeat layers two more times.

9. Chill 30 minutes before serving. 

Mocha Angel Dessert

1 package butterscotch pudding mix (not instant)

1 1/2 cups water

1/2 teaspoon instant coffee powder

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1 angel food cake

3 Coffee Crisp chocolate bars

2 1/2 cups whipping cream, whipped

1/4 cup coffee liqueur

1. Mix pudding mix and water together in a medium saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in coffee powder and vanilla. Cool.

2. Cut angel food cake into 1 inch pieces. 

3. Crush Coffee Crisp bars in food processor.

4. Fold half of the whipped cream into the cooled pudding, and stir in the liqueur. 

5. Fold in the angel food cake pieces. 

6. Assemble in a trifle dish or pretty glass bowl, starting with a layer of 1/3 of the pudding mixture. Top with 1/3 of the crushed Coffee Crisp bars. Repeat layers two more times.

 7. Top with the reserved whipped cream. 

8. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.

Some people don't like coffee, so they think they won't like a Mocha dessert. But when you taste these desserts, you really don't taste the coffee. Of course, you can always reduce the amount of coffee, or remove it altogether. You'll still have a tasty dessert. Or you could just serve those guests chocolates!
