With our fast paced days, many of us do not have the time to stop and take a break to prepare a drink or a mid-day meal. That is why it is so important to prepare things before we head out the door and this low fat mocha recipe is perfect to take with you so that you have more time during the course of the day to get things done. We all need a little bit of a boost during the day to help make it through to the end and jump start our brains. The coffee that is available at work might not be the best quality and you deserve to a cup that will truly satisfy without causing any guilt. You will never know that this mocha recipe is actually a low fat mocha recipe!
Here's what you need to prepare enough low fat mocha coffee for about one cup, so multiply the list of ingredients by how many cups you expect to have during the day.
- 1/2 cup lowfat milk (or skim)
- 4 teaspoons cocoa powder
- 4 cubes ice
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 2/3 cup vanilla ice cream (lowfat)
- 2 teaspoons instant coffee
MIx the cocoa powder with the instant coffee and sugar in a small bowl and stir.
Blend in the milk a little at a time and keep mixing until the mixture is even and smooth.
Pour all of this into a blender with the ice cream and the cubes.
Mix this until there is a distinct foam on top.
Pour into coffee cups, or a larger container if you are taking this mocha coffee on the road to last you the day.
